Our next Guest of Honor needs no introduction. Noted walking signature machine, occasional episode writer, and novel author M. A. Larson will be returning to Nightmare Nights for the fourth time! He joins fellow writer G. M. Berrow as one of the only Guests of Honor to attend four times. We're so excited to welcome M. A. Larson back, as I assume are the hotel bartenders.
M. A. Larson has written for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic since the start of the show, responsible for episodes like Swarm of the Century, Sonic Rainboom, Luna Eclipsed, and that one where Twilight Sparkle got wings. He took over as story editor for the first half of season 5. He’s also written extensively for Littlest Pet Shop, and contributed to other shows such as Gravity Falls and My Gym Partner’s a Monkey. Mitch is currently finishing work on The Warrior Princess of Pennyroyal Academy, the third novel in his Pennyroyal Academy book series. A man going by the screenname "Jin15" who we've posted about in years past who is in a supposedly commited relationship (read:married to) with a stuffed horse....has begun posting images...of himself....shitting on said stuffed horse.

His photo blog kept behind a login wall at http://plush.yiff.ru/ (pretty sure you're going to be on a watch list just for clicking on it) has been harmless enough (mostly pictures hugging and feeding the toy Twilight Sparkle) until recently.

In case you missed it earlier, if you have a Legends of Equestria account, you better change the password on any of your associated accounts that you may have used the same password.

From LOE:

This is an urgent message to anyone with an LoE account. A short time ago, Legends of Equestria suffered a malicious cyberattack, and we believe that compromising account information has been accessed. We therefore strongly recommend that everyone who used the same password on our forum (and therefore for their game account) anywhere else to change that password immediately. This is a safety precaution; we do not store passwords themselves in plain text, but the information that may have been compromised could allow simpler passwords to be brute-forced. 

We are currently locking down all production until we can guarantee the safety of all team members and players, and our forum will be offline until we’re certain that we’re secure. We will require a mandatory password reset on LoE itself for all account holders, but we still strongly urge you all to change your passwords on other services if they’re the same as your LoE password. We can only apologise for this, and continue working until we can guarantee everyone’s safety once more.

Hasbro releases "Ponychat" Reaction video, deemed less cringey than Brony Reactors

"Shit! We're out of a job!" - Brony Analysts Everywhere

Hasbro, well-known to hijack and repurpose concepts from the fandom (including but not limited to: Names, Artwork, Character Designs, Memes, and even conventions) have gone the extra mile and have begun releasing their own reaction video series to MLP episodes; "PonyChat".

It has childish humor, bad acting, terrible scripting, shitty memes, and a tone of being a paid-shill-fest.

So basically, it's probably BETTER than most brony-produce reaction / "analysis" videos.



The takeaway that many anons had, was that pony reaction / analysis videos are so simple, that even children can do it; and better.


Others admitted it was less cringe-worthy than Bronies React. Which is amazing considering it has all the elements of a bad early-90's kids-tv show that may or may not feature a black man in a dancing purple dinosaur costume.

What's more is that these kids 100% ARE being paid to give the show praise....so what's YOUR excuse?


Hasbro also made a bold choice in introducing a mustachioed man with enormous tattoos known simply as "Chef", to make diabeetus snacks for them and then disappear, leaving them in possession of an entire ice cream parlor. 


These kids, even have a "Gif of the week" meme segment at the end of the video.


Watch your backs Bronies React, these kids are coming for you.

William Shatner visits /mlp/

If a tree falls in a forest Captain Kirk posted on 4chan, and no one was around to troll him, does it even count?

Back in 2013, the board would have eaten itself alive, knowing that someone like William Shatner was lurking among them. Today, we got a real sense of just how slow things have gotten, as few anons were even around to take notice.

Nonetheless, Shatner himself publicly waded into the clop forest willingly and stayed there for a while.




He didn't seem too impressed by what he found there


Specifically, it appears he was lurking in the Merch thread, as well as MLPG, who upon learning that fact, attempted to send him messages that went unanswered.
Only a few dozen messages were posted directed towards the Star Trek star however, a sharp contrast to the 2013 visit of Lauren Faust, which essentially destroyed the board entirely through digital autocannibalism.

Granted, he posted in the middle of the day on a Monday during hiatus and also was not posting with a name to identify himself.


Mr Shatner, we would like to recommend Extra Strength Clorox for your eyeballs, it's the only thing that gets it all out.

Korean McDonalds Pony Toy Art Matches "Bedroom Eyes" Fan Vector

So here in South Korea, McDonalds has had My Little Pony toys for the last few weeks. I didn't really pay any attention to this, unaware that this wasn't a global thing. I also have been trying to be less Amerifat here and haven't eaten any McDonalds in a while, but decided to go try and get one of the toys before they were all gone.

The only character that they had left was Alicorn Princess Twilight, who comes with a small diary that you open using the figure as a key.

The cover of the diary, seemed....oddly familiar. A facial expression that I never recall seeing in the show itself, but many times in a Youtube video from years ago...






I had thought initially it was from Twilightlicious. But no, it was quickly pointed out that it's the face used for the JanAnimations video "Picture Perfect Pony".....but not quite.

It's actually a fan edit of THAT fan vector, made by a DeviantArt user named SlyFoxCL in 2012.

That  vector happens to be one of the top results for the search phrase "Twilight Sparkle Bedroom Eyes" on Google images.


Did Hasbro, McDonalds, and/or the Chinese Toy Manufacturer get so lazy that they are just googling vectors of characters now instead of making new ones?

Polish MLP Movie Page shares Clop to promote upcoming film, tricks fans into sharing porn

A Polish-based MLP Movie Promotion Facebook page has recently garnered a considerable amount of attention, with their share of a very unique movie poster. The poster, which originally comes from a NSFW pony tumblr features seapony versions of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash...who seems intrigued by an exclamation-point shaped opening on Fluttershy's lower abdomen.

Oh.

That's a Vagina.

The Facebook page that shared it is a fake page, parading as an official account. It has successfully tricked dozens of people into sharing the subtle porn image across facebook. As of the time of posting, there have been over 105 shares of the image.

Community pages from Latin America to Asia have shared it, many of them without a clue that the image is anything but official.



Their respective followers however are more keen on details.

Lulz are had, and you can get in on it too! Share away. See if anyone notices.

Man makes Terrorist threats against My Little Pony Movie premier

Claiming to be an Army Veteran and "Devout protestant Christian", Youtube user Joby Dimms posted a video ranting against the MLP Movie and promoting actually killing any Bronies in the theaters.

The user has a history of Psychotic anti-brony ramblings, with such Youtube titles as"Bronies need to be handed to ISIS" , "RE: Jenny Nicholson's Brony Hypocrisy" and so on. He posted a video in which he wields a kitchen knife claiming that he will possibly be performing criminal acts and killing Bronies himself on Opening Day.

Typically, we would ignore this as a publicity stunt or lame trolling attempt, which it very well could be. However; in recent months and years we've seen real violent attacks carried out by obsessed Internet users (Like the recent Supermarket killing) and so such threats must be treated seriously, especially given the possible danger to families in attendance.



His Youtube profile bears the following description:

"Devout protestant Christian, DC fan, and defier of Marvel, Di$ney, "Bronies", manchildren, liberals, and sinners.
Di$ney, Marvel, "animation", and other liberal films are the downfall of our society. They are an attack on the traditional Christian values our country was founded on and encourage girlhood, sodomy, and autistic behavior instead of manhood, like a normal functioning adult.
And stop trying to defend "animation", fúcking manchildren. Animation is the lowest form of filmmaking, next to comedy. Nothing but ugly and girly drawings hastily put together, complete with liberal propaganda and retarded songs. Pure cancer.
We as grown adults watching adult films need to stand up to these liberal companies destroying the word of Christ. We need to save other adults from manchild syndrome.
Long live DC, adult filmmaking, and the Lord. Down with Di$ney, liberalism, Bronies, fake blacks, Semites, autists, and autistic manchildren."

Joby also claims to be a Pastor of the Farmington Church of Christ on his Facebook profile, though this is all obviously fake information, as he claims to be from several different states in areas named "Farmington" simultaneously (not to mention the fact that said church lists all their staff on their homepage and none of them are psychotic basement dwellers).

His Twitter account has been suspended. A Cache of his few tweets is here. He has been the subject of Reddit Discussion in past months.

Interestingly he has an account on MLP Forums but he is more well known for his IMDB account. His Deviantart has also been shut down.

If you know who this man is, please contact us or law enforcement immediately.

Lauren Does Dallas - Faust coming to Nightmare Nights

Lauren "Mama" Faust is coming to Nightmare Nights Dallas.
That means Lauren and Larson will be in the same place at the same time.
If there was ever a time to visit Texas, it's now.



We promised that our fifth Nightmare Nights was going to be the biggest and most exciting yet, and so we are beyond proud to announce that Lauren Faust, the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, will be attending Nightmare Nights 2017!
Lauren Faust was the showrunner for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, developing it and taking it to production, but has a long history in children's animation before that. As an animator, she worked on Cats Don't Dance, The Magic Sword: Quest for Camelot, The Iron Giant, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. She gave The Powerpuff Girls life as animation director, contributing to dozens of its episodes and making it a landmark animated series. After Friendship is Magic, Lauren helped to create Super Best Friends Forever, write and produce Wander Over Yonder, and design the characters behind the video game Them's Fightin' Herds. She's currently working on DC Super Hero Girls, and is an inspiration to girls and young animators everywhere.

I think I'm having a fever dream - Kids Youtube flooded with Pony Fetish videos

Full Disclosure; I've been pretty out of whack for about 2 weeks due to constant jet-lag and fear of nuclear annihilation. Then THIS shit appears on my Youtube suggestions. I had to check my address bar like...4 times to make sure I was still on Youtube, and hadn't tabbed over to Derpibooru by mistake.

I'm pretty sure this is part of that trend of Kids "Toy Channels"that seeks to turn childhood access to highspeed Internet into sweet sweet ad revenue, but then again, this could also just be the latest in shitty brony animation.

And I do mean SHIT


Honestly, I don't even know where to start with these channels. There's just....so much going on. What's most interesting is that many of the channels responsible for this content, have only begun to focus on MLP rather recently (most likely due to the upcoming movie). Prior to that, their targets had been tags like Elsa and Spiderman. Not anymore! Now these channels are churning out My Little Pony Fetish videos targeting children on an HOURLY basis, a feat that bronies themselves haven't even been able to muster. The idea, is that children get access to youtube and  go looking for the names of their favorite toys, along with words like "love""poop" or "transform", and then will be drawn in by the naughty video thumbnails. Then bam! Ad revenue!

They're remarkably effective too. We've seen some of these videos with over 7 MILLION views.

It's basically the total opposite goal of Safesearch Wrap Up.




Behold, as Youtube raises the next generation of Cloppers before they even have a chance at having "normal" sexual interests. It's all here! Spanking... Scat... Voyeurism... Inflation... Stripping... Crossdressing... Literally every tag you'll find on pornhub, you'll find in these Youtube thumbnails aimed at children.



Remember all the times you've read "it's not safe for little girls to Google "My Little Pony" as a complaint against bronies (or men in general).

Well, now you can just as easily blame sweatshop animators and tag trolls. 



Have fun romping in the garbage pile! I'm going back to bed.

New MLP Toys Coming September - Capper's full name revealed.

As if the Horse-News founder Capper General couldn't, by pure coincidence, feel more like an unintentional furry now, we've got some news on the upcoming MLP Movie.



According to Entertainment Earth, some new toys are set to be released by September with names of characters we've seen so far.

The first set is a My Little Pony Friends Mini-Figures Wave 5 set, which features Sia, Rainbow Dash, Cheerilee, and Pinkie Pie, due to release by September 2017.


The second set is a My Little Pony Friends Mini-Figures Wave 5 Case, also due to release in September 2017, featuring the above aforementioned characters.

And last but not least, a 3rd set, whose picture is not yet available according to the site, a My Little Pony Friendship Pack Figures Wave 3, which will feature Pinkie Pie, Princess Skystar, Twilight Sparkle, Songbird Serenade, and Capper Dapperpaws. This set is due to release in October.

Bronycon 2017 interviews featuring Vincent Tong, Kyle Rideout, and Kelly Sheridan. This, like last year, was done as a press conference, with many people from various outlets having essentially a mini-panel Q/A style.


Introductions:

Vincent Tong:"I'm Vincent Tong. I am a voice actor on the show. I do the voices of Prince Blueblood, Garble the Dragon, Feather Bangs, Flash Sentry, Donut Joe, and that's about it. Thanks for the boo there, Scope!"

Kyle Rideout:"I'm Kyle Rideout, and I voice Thorax."

Equestria Girls "Workout Routine" - Get off your ass and do the Dragon Mating Dance / Territory Marker

Remember when we posted about the tidal wave of Kid's channel lewd garbage that had flooded every conceivable tag on Youtube? Well as a result of those channels, we now see more of it than we had ever wanted to. Most of it is the same sort of garbage, but THIS is different.

Here, we have a "Scientific 7 Minute Workout Video with Twilight Sparkle. It features 12 exercises deploying only body weight, a wall and a chair." The routine, is actually pretty solid....
...but the names are amazing.




The video pulls no punches and seems blissfully aware that the people who will be doing these routines are not children (despite the channel being named  "Apps For Kids"). But given how much of an issue Childhood obesity is, if this gets kids moving, then we're all in favor of it.


I don't think some of these could even be classified as "Yoga"


But fuckit, we hereby challenge you, the reader, to complete this 7 minute workout routine.

So we've known for a long time that Sia is in the MLP movie, and she sings a song called "Rainbow". Well here's the full music video, appropriately on some cheap Chinese site. It's loaded with spoilers, including the ending, where Tempest is seen making fireworks with Twilight.

MLP 7th Anniversary Party Planned for Oct 7th - Oct 10th

There are very few annual traditions that we have held near and dear in the pony fandom. But Among those that we do, is the year celebration of the original airing of the first Episode of My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic on October 10th, 2010. Every year since, we've rounded up as many fans as possible, to one spot on the internet, to watch the show together. Initially, this was a feat which could be handled in a single day, or even a single weekend. But as time has passed and more and more media has become available, it has grown beyond that, into this years FOUR DAY LONG event.

On October 7th, 2017, at 12:00 noon Eastern Time (immediately following the airing of the new episode), /mlp/ will be kicking off this year's Anniversary Party, ushering in the 8th year of My Little Pony. The main event of this, will be the livestream, of every single episode, movie, music video, promo, and short, played back-to-back in one spot, in addition to influential and popular fan video breaks. There is approximately 78 Hours of official media to go through this year, so we're estimating roughly 3.5 days of constant streaming, straight through the annivesary on the 10th.

In addition, we hope to have art, discord group chats, group gaming, and prize giveaways. We hope you can all join us during the course of the weekend.
